Bleaching Techniques

Here are 3 different variations on the bleaching technique, which give very different results.

The first one uses Bleach Stamping: Soak a piece of felt or folded paper towel with bleach. Use as an ink pad and stamp on coloured cardstock. Watch as the bleach removes colour leaving a beautiful faded image. I actually painted the bleach onto the stamp to get a stronger effect. Then I cleaned the stamp thoroughly, with no harm done.

The second one is Brushed Bleaching: Emboss coloured cardstock with black (or other colour) embossing powder. Using a synthetic paintbrush or aqua painter, paint bleach onto a portion of the image between the embossed lines. Different colours (and lots) of cardstock will give different bleached effects. If desired, colour the bleached portions with Stampin’ Pastels.

The third one is Bleached Brayering: Stamp in Black Stazon onto gloss card. Brayer over the top with the spectrum inks, then bleach out any areas you want white.
