Blended Bloom with watercoloured background birthday card

www.tinascreativestudio.com Blended Bloom birthday card
This card started out as a technique background using Ken Oliver Color Burst powdered paints. I created a number of panels on watercolour paper using different colours. Some I spritzed with water first, then sprinkled the paint powder on to get a reaction, some I put the paints on dry paper then spritzed the paper.

Once dry I used the Blended Bloom stamp from Stampin Up and Black Archival ink to stamp the image over the panel. I was thinking of giving the Zentangle treatment to the centre flower, but I tried a different idea I saw from another Stampin Up Demonstrator. I used a permanent fine tip black marker to add the detail.

The  watercolour panel is shorter than a standard Australian A6 card front so I stamped the diagonal stripes onto the card base, then mounted the watercolour panel on the top. The sentiment is from the Flower Patch stamp set. It has been stamped and embossed with white embossing powder on the black piece of cardstock. A few rhinestones to finish the card off.

I gave this card to my card teacher friend for her birthday, she loved it.
