Today’s card is one I made in a recent class taught by Helen Clifton. The class was about being inspired by Birgit Edblom, a very talented card maker from Sweden.

I love the simplicity of her cards, and the layering that she often does.

I created a simple background block by masking off a border of the Whisper White panel with some strips of copy paper, and sponging Marina Mist ink in a circular motion with a blending tool. Then I removed the strips to show the straight edges. This gives the impression of another layer.

I added the die cut branch and chair from the Seasonal Layers thinlits dies in Early Espresso cardstock, stamped the cherry blossoms in Powder Pink on Whisper White cardstock, cut them out using the matching dies in the set, and added them to the feature panel. The card base is crumb cake cardstock.

Here are the supplies used to make this card. If you’d like to order any, please click on the image and you will be taken to my online shop.
