The above pictures show just the Stampin Up Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I have in my stash. The top picture shows about 4-1/2" of 12" x 12"piled on the table. The bottom picture shows 6" x 6" stash on the left, next to the 12" x 12", and retired 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" stash on the right.
This does not include the specialty vellum, foil, or glitter cardstock I have as well. It also doesn't include the half-sheets of upcoming DSP in the new Occasions catalogue that starts on January 5, which I received in a share...
I think I have enough patterned paper to last a while, don't you?
Anyway, here's why I'm not buying any more DSP in 2016:
- I struggle with using patterned paper on cards and scrapbook pages - I think it looks busy
- I prefer to create my own backgrounds on cards using different mediums and techniques
- I like embossed backgrounds - both dry embossing, and wet embossing
- I like creating stamped backgrounds with small stamps in a pattern or random
- I have enough to last me a long time - I also have patterned paper from a couple of other companies...
I've thought of a few ideas:
- Of course I'll be using what I can in cards and 3D projects for giving to people for birthdays and special occasions
- Make more cards for sale or as gift packs
- Cut up some 12 x 12 to 6 x 6 to make packs to sell at the craft fairs
- Use them in classes
- Give away 6 x 6 packs of assorted sheets with every order over a certain amount (still need to work out the amount)
Happy papercrafing!
Tina
