Blended Seasons and new Watercolour Pencils for Go for Greece Blog Hop

It's time for another blog hop for Stampin' Up Demonstrators who are working towards earning the incentive trip to Greece - wouldn't that be fantastic?

My card today uses the limited edition Colour Your Season collection of products that will be available to customers in August.

I've used the gorgeous floral image from the Blended Seasons stamp set, which I inked up with Versamark ink and stamped it onto a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock. I then sprinkled white embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.

I then used the white watercolour pencil from the original set to colour in the whole image of petals and leaves. Then I went over the petals using Cherry Cobbler and the leaves with Garden Green from the new watercolour pencil set. I coloured the centres of the flowers with Daffodil Delight from the first watercolour pencils set. Then I used a Blender Pen to smooth out the colouring a little. I stamped the sentiment from the set using Cherry Cobbler ink.

I matted the art piece onto Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock and onto a Crumb Cake card base. I kept the design simple.

I saw the idea for colouring with watercolour pencils on Crumb Cake cardstock by Courteney Heuston, and thought I would try it with bolder colours. I've done this technique before using white craft ink to colour in the solid areas and then using pencils over the top. This is a slightly softer effect.

Anyway, have a look through the hop and see what everyone else has come up with.

I've listed the supplies I used to make this card below. If you'd like to order, please click on any of the images to be taken directly to my online shop.
