Hi,

Thanks for stopping by my blog today for another blog hop with Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world who are part of Kylie’s Demonstrator Training group.

Here’s my card:

I was creating cards for my card class this week using the fun set Nine Lives, which has two-step stamps of the cat and different markings, along with cute greetings and cat paraphinalia.

The rainbow background for the card was created using off-cut strips of cardstock that had been accumulating in my scraps tub. I cut a 13.8cm x 9.5cm piece of cardstock (I used an old retired colour I can’t even remember the name of) and covered one side with an adhesive sheet. I removed the paper backing to reveal the sticky side, then I started from the bottom and worked my way up, laying down the strips in (sort of) rainbow order. When that was completely covered I trimmed off the overhanging bits with scissors. Then I put the 3 images of the mouse, ball of yarn and Meow! together on a block and stamped them with Versamark ink. I sprinkled white embossing powder over and heat set with my heat tool. I then flicked a bit of White Craft Ink refill (diluted with water) on the panel for some splatter effects.

For the greeting I created a rainbow stamp pad using one of the retiring Uninked Spectrum stamp pads and stamped the greeting onto a stitched circle of Whisper White.

I’m very happy with how this came out, what do you think?

Here is a list of everyone joining in the hop today, so grab a cuppa and have a look around to see what everyone has come up with.
