Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Last week I made a video on Facebook where I created these cards:
I wanted to show you that inspiration for cards can come from anywhere, and this time I was inspired by the design and colours of my T-shirt.
I originally thought that my T-shirt colour was close to Mint Macaron, but when I compared it to the cardstock I thought my T-shirt was a lighter shade, so I looked at Soft Sea Foam.
I decided to make 2 cards at the same time using both colours with a black mat, and then while making the video I decided to swap the card bases around.
This card has a standard A6 Soft Sea Foam card base with a Basic Black mat and a Mint Macaron feature panel. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo black ink and Mint Macaron, with a few as a second generation stamped image to make it lighter.
For this card I used a Mint Macaron card base with a Basic Black mat and a Soft Sea Foam feature panel. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo black ink and Soft Sea Foam.
After I finished stamping the feature panels I embossed them with the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give a linen look.
I finished off the cards by stamping the greeting in Versamark ink on a strip of Basic Black cardstock and embossing it with White embossing powder. Some basic Rhinestones added some bling. I didn't put on as many Rhinestones as there are on my T-shirt!
Here is the rough and ready edited video:

The Lovely Lily Pad stamp set is one of the ones you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $90 order.
For the script background I used the script stamp from the Parisian Beauty stamp set.
