Dragonflies and Dandelions for card class

Dandy Garden card class cards

 Hi,

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

After having a little break over Christmas and New Year my card making classes have started up again in the studio.

Today I'm sharing the cards we made in the first class for the year, using the Dandy Garden suite of products from Stampin' Up! This is a huge suite, and includes 2 stamp sets one die set, one punch, Designer Series Paper, Laser-cut Paper, Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, embellishments and trim.

For the first card I used one of the printed card bases from the Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack. The yellow background is already on the card front and is repeated on the envelope flap. I stamped the dandelion image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour in the flowers. I die cut the image with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. I then matted the stamped panel onto a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock and wrapped around some of the Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim and tied a bow.

The small dragonflies are punched from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Dragonflies punch, and then I added the detail with a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. I used Mini Glue Dots to attach these to the card front.

For the second card I used one of the stamps from the Garden Wishes stamp set to create a repeating pattern on the white panel, which was then matted with Mossy Meadow cardstock. The large die cuts are from the Dandy Wishes dies. I also used the Dandelions 3D embossing folder (from the Annual Catalogue) to emboss the smaller white panels. The greeting is from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set, and the ovals were cut with the new Double Oval Punch from the Annual Catalogue.

For the third card I created the blue panel by applying ink with our new Blending Brushes. The ink colours I used are Pacific Point, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy. Then once the inked panel was dry I stamped the dandelion image in Versamark ink and heat set white embossing powder on it. The dragonfly was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white and punched out with the Dragonflies punch. I coloured it using Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. The white layer behind the inked panel has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Birthdays and is punched out with the Classic Label punch.

If you'd like to make these cards and need supplies, here is a list of supplies I used.
