Do you receive emails on my blog updates?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Have you been receiving emails every time my blog is updated? If yes, this will affect you.

The service I've been using is going away soon, so at some point you will stop getting the email updates. I've heard that this date is July 2021, so I have a bit of time to come up with an alternative.

I do write a weekly(ish) email with the latest happenings in the Studio, upcoming class dates and topics or featured stamp sets, Stampin' Up specials and promotions, and other events. I can add a "latest blog posts" section in that email if that is the only alternative I have in the future.

If you are not on that email list then please feel free to subscribe by filling in the purple box in the sidebar on my blog.

Happy stamping,

Flowers for Every Season Class cards

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I'm behind again with sharing cards from my classes, so here is one that was popular.

Flowers for Every Season cards
This suite of products has two gorgeous bundles, the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and the Jar of Flowers bundle. I decided to combine the two bundles in one class as there are so many stamp sets in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue I want to use in classes that I might run out of time to use them.

The first card I made was inspired by a card in the catalogue.

On the Crumb Cake panel I stamped the large sunflower image several times in Crumb Cake ink, then coloured in the images with white, yellow (Daffodil Delight) and orange (Pumpkin Pie) watercolour pencils. I added a die cut sunflower in Whisper White as an overlay to one of the large sunflowers I stamped on the card.
The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I flicked some Frost White shimmer paint on the card and added a few small pearls for bling.

The second card I made used the Jar of Flowers stamp set.

The background Flirty Flamingo panel was stamped with the Stacked Stone background stamp with Flirty Flamingo ink for a tone on tone effect.

I used the Jar Punch to punch a hole in the white panel so that I could put one of the Mason Jar Shaker Domes behind it and fill it with Flowers for Every Season Gems.

For the flowers and stalks I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers: Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, So Saffron and Rich Razzleberry. The white panel is matted on a slightly larger mat panel to make it stand out from the background panel. The ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo pack.

For the last card I went back to the Celebrate Sunflowers set.

The colours of the 3 cardstock panels are Just Jade, Crumb Cake and Pool Party, and they have been matted onto a panel of Early Espresso cardstock. The card base is Pool Party cardstock. I first laid the 3 panels next to each other on my grid paper and stamped the smaller sunflower stamp in Soft Suede ink so that some overlapped onto the next panel.

The greeting is from the Band Together stamp set, which is retiring soon. The die is one of the Tasteful Labels dies, which are carrying over to the next annual catalogue.

The good news is that these stamp sets, dies and jar punch are carrying over to the next annual catalogue. The bad news is that they will no longer be available at a 10% discount for a bundle (the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and Jar of Flowers bundle) after May 3 2021. They will be available to order separately.

If you would like to make these cards and need supplies, head on over to my online shop and if you use my current host code I will send you a handmade card and a gift as a thank you.

Happy stamping,
