Brushed Blooms Card Class cards

Brushed Blooms card class cards
Hi,

Thanks for stopping by today.

I created these cards for a recent class featuring the Brushed Blooms stamp set and die bundle from Stampin' Up! I wanted to feature this bundle before it retired on June 30.

For the first card I created the background with Vellum cardstock which I coloured using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and isopropyl alcohol. This is such a cool technique, and I've made several backgrounds to use for cards.

For the greeting label I die cut one of the label shapes from the Tasteful Labels dies, and for the flowers I stamped them in Polished Pink ink and cut them out with the matching dies. The leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and die cut with the matching dies.

For the second card I made a mask with the large die in the Beautiful Brushstrokes die set and laid that over my white panel. Then I used sponge daubers with several different colours to create the rainbow background. Before I removed the mask I stamped the little dotty stamp in Gorgeous Grape ink over the top of the brushstrokes.

I stamped the flowers in Gorgeous Grape, stamped off to give a lighter shade of colour, then applied more ink in the flower centres on the rubber stamps before stamping onto the white cardstock. This created the two tone effect. The leaves were die cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

For the final card I created the background on white using the wide and narrow brushstroke images. I stamped the wide one first in Bermuda Bay ink using the fabulous Stamparatus to stamp and move the stamp in evenly spaced intervals. I stamped the narrow one in Crumb Cake ink using the Stamparatus. The greeting was stamped in Blushing Bride ink on a scrap of white and then punched out with the Label Me Fancy punch.

The flower layers were all die cut from Blushing Bride cardstock, and then sponged with Blushing Bride ink using a dauber to create the depth.

The stamp and die sets are only available while stocks last, and have been reduced.

Happy stamping,
